The PFERD POLICAP® Seamless Abrasive Cap is a professional-grade grinding accessory designed for consistent performance, easy handling, and reliable surface finishing. Measuring 9/32" x 1/2" and manufactured in Shape A (cylindrical), this abrasive cap is ideal for controlled leveling, surface work, and step-by-step grinding—especially in smaller work areas and detailed components. Built with 80 grit aluminum oxide, it offers effective material removal while still supporting a refined finish, making it an excellent choice for universal grinding applications on steel. POLICAP® abrasive caps feature a seamless design, allowing the entire abrasive surface area to be used for uniform wear and extended usable life. During operation, the cap expands securely onto the holder, ensuring a stable fit and reduced slipping. Abrasive cap changes are quick and efficient—simply twist slightly clockwise and pull off while leaving the holder clamped in the power tool. Designed for use on cast steel, stainless steel (INOX), hardened and heat-treated steels (>370 HV / 38 HRC), high-hardness steels (>54 HRC), and steels up to 370 HV, this cap is also suitable for tool and die-making, repair work, and finishing tasks. It can also be used on plastics, wood, and fillers in model crafting applications. For best performance, operate at a recommended peripheral speed of 2,000–4,000 SFPM. Do not exceed the maximum permitted speed of 5,500 SFPM.
