JerryC COTI (Clip-On Thermal Imager)

The JerryC COTI series, now succeeded by the RENV-C / JerryC Pro, offers a choice of 384x288 or 640x512 resolution, 12um pixel pitch sensors with a 50Hz refresh rate. Easily attachable to existing NVDs, it adds thermal detection capabilities via a thermal image overlay, providing multi-spectrum capability without needing a separate device. Unlike legacy models, the JerryC offers 20 or 30.5 degrees of thermal overlay for increased field of view. It interfaces with NVDs accepting PVS-14 optics using a standard quick disconnect. Models differ in resolution, field of view, and power supply, with 'CE' models featuring an external battery pack for reduced weight and extended battery life. The latest version allows thermal image calibration and retains orientation/settings even after power disconnection. A 3-year warranty is standard, with a note that refocus devices may not be compatible. Key features include a detection range of over 1000m, IP67 waterproofing, and operating temperatures from -40C to +60C. The JerryC enhances NVD functionality by adding thermal imaging, improving situational awareness in low light or foliated conditions. Its clip-on design allows increased capabilities without refitting helmets, and its rugged, waterproof construction withstands harsh environments. When added to an I system, it enables thermal source detection and improved situational awareness, even in extreme conditions.
