National Pipe Thread Taper Fine (NPTF) threaded end connects with male NPTF threads for a leak-tight connection or with male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for a leak-resistant connection. The steel body components resist brinelling and internal corrosion, provide better weldability and greater rust resistance than wrought iron, and the valveless construction provides maximum flow with minimum pressure drop. A knurled sleeve with locking pin protects against brinelling and accidental disconnection. This coupler's maximum working pressure (MWP) is 10,000 pounds per square inch (psi) (689.47 bar) at 70 degrees F. It is used for general purpose hydraulic applications.
