The 4530 Standard Duty Deadlatch provides versatile traffic control, enabling two-way access during specific hours for facilities like hospitals, banks, and stores. It's designed to fit existing stile cutouts for older models without modification. Retract the spring-loaded latchbolt using the key or handle, then secure it by pushing in and reversing the key's turn. Compatible with standard mortise cylinders featuring an MS cam, it comes with a 4901-01 strike for flat jambs and is available in three backset sizes. Packaged individually with a strike and machine screws, additional cylinders, paddles, and handles can be purchased separately.
